#347. Martha is the Halloween Queen

I realize that Martha always puts us to shame with her holiday decorations, but this Halloween, she has really outdone herself. Her website features an entire "Halloween Central" section of costume ideas, recipes, in and outdoor decorating, and how-to's.

How cool are the pumpkins sconces and Halloween eggs?! I think I'm going to make the shrunken apple heads for the UR Halloween party!

#346. Glamour Honors Mrs. O

In the December issue, Glamour is recognizing Women of the Year. In addition, Mrs. Obama is being honored with a Special Recognition award for her commitment to mentoring young women. This is the first time Glamour has ever featured a First Lady on the cover! Y'all know I'm (irritatingly) obsessed with Michelle Obama, but how can you not be? She is quite the role model.

#14. Not Fabulous: My 25th Birthday

I'm turning 25 on Monday.

I'm not thrilled.

I may or may not be having a quarter life crisis.

The only way to get through these hard times is to have a full fledged Jessie Spano moment.

Thanks, SG.

#344. Ivanka Trump Marries Jared Kushner

The New York Post revealed pictures of Ivanka Trump's wedding to Jared Kushner. Ivanka made such a gorgeous bride. She wore a Grace Kelly inspired dress by Vera Wang. Very demure and classic.

#340. Iconic Photos

Truman Capote's legendary masked ball at the Plaza in 1966

Iconic Photos is a great blog that features famous photos and commentary. The first page, alone, showcases several moving images from the Russian Revolution, to JFK's funeral, to the execution of Leonard Siffleet, to the Guggenheim. Every day is like a new little history lesson.

#339. Healthy Kids Fair

Today, Mrs. O took part in the Healthy Kids Fair on the White House lawn. Love the belt!

#338. Lilly Loves Sororities

Have any of you checked out Lilly on Facebook? You can download Lilly desktop backgrounds, including ones featuring your sorority letters. Lilly is embracing Greek life with vigor, also providing links for rush dresses and big sis gifts. I just have one problem - Lilly only features 11 sororities! So much for ΑΟΠ, ΑΦ, and ΑΧΩ. And how about ΑΚΑ and ΔΣΘ?

#337. Michelle Lane's Rope Necklaces

Stylist Michelle Lane has created handmade rope necklaces. I especially love the blue. Available at Stand Up Comedy.

RE: #204. Where the Wild Things Are

Saw the movie last night. LOVED IT!

#336. Foursquare

Foursquare is the next big thing in social networking. It is a location-based mobile application and website that gives you and your friends a new way to explore your city. You can earn points and unlock badges by discovering new places and meeting new people. You can also connect it to your Twitter and Facebook accounts. First, you download the app onto your phone (iPhone or Android). Next, you "check-in" at a location in the city. When you check-in somewhere, Foursquare tells your friends so they can find you and recommend places for you to go and things to do nearby. It may sound a little creepy, but it's a pretty great idea. Foursquare is available in many major cities, including D.C., Atlanta, and Richmond.

#335. Life Magazine Archive

Every issue of Life Magazine until December of 1972 is available on Google Books. This archive is an addition to the already millions of free photos from Life available on Google.

#334. Fantastic Mr. Fox Premiere

Fantastic Mr. Fox premiered at London's Odeon Leicester Square last night. Quite a classy bunch strolled the red carpet, I must say. I do love Mr. Anderson's look, minus the loafers.

#333. The Citizen's Guide to Surviving Police Encounters

Crim Pro lesson time! (I love law school far too much.)

In the event that you're pulled over for speeding, a broken taillight, or expired tags, it's important to know your rights. I have nothing to hide, but I'd rather the police didn't go through my car or belongings.

Though it is lengthy in nature, this video is very informative and helpful. Enjoy!

Note: I don't agree that Darrell's 5th Amendment rights were waived the minute he opened his mouth. No rights according to Miranda had been read.

For musical commentary on the issue, check out one of my favorite artists here.

It's Chuck Bass Thursday!

It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. Oh, and it's Chuck Bass Thursday.
