I'm a big proponent of drug court. There are 14 drug courts in Virginia, funded by the General Assembly. Fortunately, the General Assembly just approved another year of funding.
Roanoke had one of the first drug courts in Virginia. Those folks created a video called "The Arrest is Only the Beginning: How Virginia Drug Courts Succeed," which recently won a Telly award for television documentary. The video is long, but it's worth the watch.
