Hi all! I’m Susi and I write as a guest blogger for DesignShuffle.com, a fabulous social media site that promotes interior designers from around the world and their work. My writing focuses on things I'm passionate about: interior design, home furnishings, gardening, travel and art. I get to look at gorgeous things all day and write about them and the great decorating ideas they inspire. I'm a very lucky girl! After a recent trip to Paris I am in love with all things French and was so happy to be asked to write about Fabulous French Inspired Interiors for All Things Fabulous.
Fabulous French inspired interiors can range from simple Provencal kitchens to elegant antique filled living rooms and bedrooms, with an eclectic bohemian mix in between. Here are eight of our current favorite French inspired interiors that we think are simply fabulous.
A Louis XV desk (or bureau plat) sets the tone for this classic French antique inspired home office. Love the bouliotte lamps and red accents.
This antique filled room has a more bohemian vibe inspired by La Boheme. Love the mismatched furnishings in the light filled white painted room.
Love this fabulous French inspired bathroom design in Texas down to the Monsieur and Madame tile “rugs” in front of the sinks.
Art filled walls and a mix of French furniture from different eras and styles create a lovely dining room.
Ahh... the classic French bistro chair can bring French flair to a kitchen, casual dining room, or porch. These chairs are available in a myriad of colors and patterns.
This French country inspired bedroom in French gray and white is crisp and lovely. Paint and textiles are great ways to infuse an interior with French style. Choose colorful Provencal textiles and primary colors, or sophisticated grays and pastels to create a French inspired design.

Provencal kitchen in a farmhouse in Nimes is rustic and charming. A set of four metal garden chairs and a round table could easily recreate this feeling in your kitchen.

For more French inspired rooms to inspire you, turn to the movies. For over the top French style, Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoinette is our fave. Woody Allen's current film, Midnight in Paris is filled with incredible 1920s interiors and lots of wonderful interior design ideas.
